In this year’s Tour de France Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung is the first African team ever to participate at the biggest grand tour. The first few stages brought plenty of action with the grand depart at Utrecht (The Netherlands), followed by a few tricky stages with sections along the North Sea, the famous Mur de Huy and even some pavé sectors. We are glad to share a first photo story of the first couple of days. Photo credits: Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung (gruberimages.pro)

2015, dles, dolomites, dress, maratona, Product talk, right -

If you do the long course, you might be in the saddle for up to 10 hours, so it’s very important that you wear the correct clothes for all day comfort and performance. In the summer months, it’s all about regulating your temperature, to save you from overheating, especially on the climbs. The Maratona jersey is made out of a 3D fabric on front and shoulders to keep the jersey light and dry. The 3D nature of the fabric means that most of it never touches your skin, so it never clings or absorbs water. This challenge to wear the right gear is coupled with the need to prepare for those cool descents where air flow can cause your body temperature to drop. Discover more: Castelli-cycling.com/c/maratona The full 138km Maratona course takes riders over five 2,000m+ passes and the saw tooth profile means you are either ascending or descending throughout the day. Andrew, Dan and Ryder have shown they work well together, and that will translate to the roads of the Tour,” said Charly Wegelius, Director Sportif. “We have a very talented group of riders and by bringing three top guys: Andrew, Dan and Ryder, we’re going to make things very interesting.” “Supporting them is a strong bunch. Cry Baby Hill, custom team clothing, Photo, Racing, servizio corse, Tulsa Tough -

Cry Baby Hill: the culmination of three days of criterium racing at Tulsa Tough. Hot streets and surging crowds. A hill climb that grits the teeth of every rider that passes through. Despite the party-like carnival of costumed revelers, a rider may see nothing but a blur of spectators at the fringes. Eyes focused on the hilltop. The 10% grade ends with a fast descent and a hard right, followed by a straightaway. Then the climb begins again. On repeat, for over an hour. Or less, if you’re lucky. Tough love, as they say. It is the race that you can’t help thinking of at the beginning of the weekend of racing. But first, the Blue Dome and Brady Arts Criteriums. Great crowds for Tulsa nights and the constant threat of summer storms. Fireworks for sure. Congratulations to all of the Castelli riders who put scorpions on the top steps of the podium each day. Blue Dome Criterium – Friday Brady Arts District Criterium – Saturday River Parks Criterium (featuring Cry Baby Hill) – Sunday
