It has been a special season for all triathletes so far but the stage was set in Hamburg this past weekend. Due to the lack of a real racing series, the 2020 World Triathlon Series world champions were crowned in a single day event in Hamburg over the sprint distance. Germans top athlete Laura Lindemann showed an impressive performance and finished in an excellent third position after a tough chase on the run. The IM 70.3 World Championship in Nice lived up to expectations. Warm, summery weather at the French Riviera were a perfect setting for exciting and top-class race action on both days. Enjoy some impressions captured by Edoardo Civiero, Carla Nagel and gettysport.

9th Ironman title for Frederik van Lierde The Belgian 2013 Ironman World Champion added another major title to his impressive palmares by winning one of the toughest triathlon races this past weekend. Throughout the entire race Frederik was always among the leading athletes before he finally took the lead from German Christian Kramer during the second half of the marathon and gained the victory in Puerto del Carmen (Lanzarote) on this 40th birthday.
