From the classic Austrian ski resort Sölden, one of the toughest cycling races for amateurs starts and ends. We went there together with 4000 other avid cyclists to take on the four mountain passes in South Tyrol. I lie in the bathtub in the hotel room. The water is so hot that you have to walk in really slowly, warming my wounded body after the race. My memory of the last climb, the one from the Italian side up towards Timmelsjoch is blurred. I remember how the sweat runs down from my forehead, the bike computer no longer showing double digits and that my legs are close to cramping and my stomach aches. The beautiful views I can see from the images now in hindsight, I have only fragmented memories of. But maybe we should take it from the beginning. 4000 avid cyclists It is the first Sunday in September and we are in the classic Austrian ski resort Sölden. It is still dark when we cycle from the hotel to the start where 4000 avid cyclists have gathered. The air is fresh, the speaker encourages the participants to wave their arms in the air and tries to keep the ...

Smart trainers are now so realistic that you can almost forget you’re riding indoors. They allow us to experience the road feel and even suffer at the hands of a stiff headwind via dynamic resistance changes on smart trainers. Unfortunately that wind is only virtual, and even with a powerful fan it’s still hard to regulate your body temperature indoors. To combat this we developed the Insider Bibshorts and Insider Jersey. INSIDER BIBSHORTS Comfort is everything indoors and we’ve designed the bibshorts we’d want for ourselves. Cool and comfortable with good wicking ability and just enough padding, they ensure optimal comfort on muggy indoor rides. The 80% polyester construction helps wick sweat away while our lighter KISS Air2 seat pad finds the optimal balance between excellent padding with reduced overall coverage. INSIDER JERSEY Our Insider Jersey tailored for the rigors of indoor training and includes a 3D Mesh fabric that ensures maximum airflow to keep you cool when the heat and intensity of indoor workouts build. In addition, the 100% polyester design ensures that excess moisture is quickly wicked away to help keep you cool and dry. With a low collar and short waist, it’s designed for maximum cooling, while ...

Living less than two hours from our headquarters, Gianni Moscon is a familiar face in the office and in the local cycling community in the Veneto and Trentino regions. In our work with the pros, we often have the opportunity to meet some amazing people who share our passion. Sometimes the person behind the sunglasses is different than you might expect. The 24-year-old Team Sky rider from Val di Non weathered a big storm when he was ejected from the Tour de France last year and suspended for five weeks after being seen taking a swing at Fortuneo-Samsic’s Elie Gesbert during stage 15. We’re not ignoring what people think, but we want to provide more insight into the real Gianni Moscon in this article and video.   MEET THE MAN BEHIND THE SUNGLASSES On a cold November day, we sat down with Moscon at the family farm in Livo, Trentino, for a chat about his rapid rise in the pro ranks, Team Sky, his passion for cycling, his first pedal strokes and growing up as an apple farmer.   The hugely gifted 24-year-old is considered one of the biggest talents in the sport. He finished fifth in his second attempt ...
