9th Ironman title for Frederik van Lierde The Belgian 2013 Ironman World Champion added another major title to his impressive palmares by winning one of the toughest triathlon races this past weekend. Throughout the entire race Frederik was always among the leading athletes before he finally took the lead from German Christian Kramer during the second half of the marathon and gained the victory in Puerto del Carmen (Lanzarote) on this 40th birthday. Lanzarote men’s top 3: Frederik Van Lierde (BEL) 8:51:16 Christian Kramer (GER) 8:56:08 Emilio Aguayo Muñoz (ESP) 9:00:55 Frederik’s suit of choice for Lanzarote – The All Out Speed Suit Due to the conditions and meters in altitude (resulting in a longer race duration) there is hardly no other race where race equipment plays a stronger role. For this reason Frederik opted for the comfort and aero benefits of the All Out Speed Suit. Discover all details about the suit here: Men’s Women’s All action images: © Activ’images

The 20th edition of Ironman Austria (Klagenfurt) was held in perfect long distance weather, not too hot and a light breeze. Starting the race it was clear that Pewag Racing Team athletes were willing to take an offensive approach. Two of them – Beatrice Weiß and Lukasz Wojt – lead the race for some time. The latter almost until the end of the bike leg and finally finished 6th overall. Russian Ivan Tutukin was catching up (fastest marathon of the day, 2:40h) and almost caught winner Michael Weiss.
