As 2019 is coming to a close, we’re looking back at some of the great Castelli moments and achievements of the past year. Celebrating 10-years of the legendary Gabba Jersey with the global cycling publications. Our passion is never-ending, like the Giro d’Italia and its “Infinito” trophy. As the provider of the iconic pink and other race leader jerseys, we keep looking toward the future. Our relentless drive to innovate brings revolutionary advances in terms of performance, design, and environmental impact. Egan Bernal takes Tour de France victory with Geraint Thomas alongside to secure an emphatic 1-2 finish and the team’s seventh overall success. Second-year in a row as the partner of Il Lombardia and GF Il Lombardia, the ‘Race of the Falling Leaves’. The fifth and final Monument of the WorldTour calendar and Italian sportive calendar. A unique route with the iconic climbs of the Ghisallo and the Muro di Sormano. Amity Rockwell taking her first solo win at the famously grueling 2019 Dirty Kanza 200-mile race. Geraint Thomas put in a strong enough performance in the final time trial to seal overall victory at the 2018 Tour de France with just the Paris stage to come. Stage 20 offered a unique opportunity for the Castelli crew to follow the Welshman when his TT suit was fitted, to warm up, through bike check, and right to the start ramp.                         Photo & video by Marco Nani

The 2018 Tour de France takes in everything that makes cycling such an exciting sport. Cobbles, explosive arrivals, sprints, dust roads, high mountains, a hilly time trial on the penultimate stage before La Grande Boucle finishes on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. With nine stages completed, the first week of the Tour de France is over after the Tour exploded into life on the roads leading from Arras to Roubaix. The stars fell like ninepins on the cobbles of the Hell of the North. There were mechanicals. There were tears on the road, and tears on the podium. But the thrills and spills that provided a stream of crashes were at significant cost to the peloton. Geraint Thomas and Chris Froome battled their way to strong finishes, both took a tumble, survived, and finished with the main group – which numbered less than 30 riders – 27 seconds back. Geraint is now at the head of the ‘virtual’ classification, in the light of the forthcoming Alpine stages which will not favor the current race leader, Greg Van Avermaet.
