Living less than two hours from our headquarters, Gianni Moscon is a familiar face in the office and in the local cycling community in the Veneto and Trentino regions. In our work with the pros, we often have the opportunity to meet some amazing people who share our passion. Sometimes the person behind the sunglasses is different than you might expect. The 24-year-old Team Sky rider from Val di Non weathered a big storm when he was ejected from the Tour de France last year and suspended for five weeks after being seen taking a swing at Fortuneo-Samsic’s Elie Gesbert during stage 15. Gianni Bugno gearing up for Gran Fondo Giro d’Italia Northern Ireland

1990 Giro d’Italia Champion Gianni Bugno to swap his pink jersey for the official race jersey, supplied by Castelli, of the Gran Fondo Giro d’Italia Northern Ireland on June 5th, 2016. Gran Fondo Giro d’Italia Northern Ireland, the official legacy event of the 2014 Giro Big Start is very proud to announce Gianni Bugno, 1990 Giro d’Italia Champion and double World Champion (1991/92), will travel to Belfast to ride the Gran Fondo 5 June, 2016. Gianni Bugno said: “Since I saw how successful the 2014 Giro d’Italia Big Start was and how passionate the people in Northern Ireland were about cycling, it has been a big ambition of mine to come to ride my bike in Northern Ireland and experience the spectacular scenery. Being able to participate in the Gran Fondo Giro d’Italia NI is a great honour for me and I look forward to riding with everyone this June.” There are two options for those looking to ride the event on June 5th; the 173km Mourne route and the 58km Strangford route.
