Anja Kallenbach – who has already been to lots of every cyclist’s dream destinations – wanted to explore the spirit and conditions of the “Hell of the North” and rode the course a few days ago including some laps in the Roubaix velodrome and a visit in the historical showers. Who will be Greg Van Avermaet’s successor and lift the prestigious cobble stone trophy this Sunday? Imagery and video: AK21Photography | Anja Kallenbach

Past weekend’s IRONMAN France (Nice) was a total triumph for Castelli athletes, who took the women’s and men’s titles at Côte d’Azur. Carrie Lester (AUS) – who was opting for a Free Speed W Race Jersey to ensure good aerodynamics on the bike and additional sun protection paired with Free W Tri Shorts – crossed the line first in 9:27:53, 10:38 ahead of runner-up Annabel Luxford. Belgian Frederik Van Lierde – a frequent competitor in France – managed to seal his 4th victory at Promenade des Anglais this year. During his 8:31:31 on the course he relied on his trusted Free Tri ITU Suit. Here are some impressions of Carrie’s and Frederik’s triumph captured by Rainer Bauerdick and Oliver Dom.
