Chris Froome and Team Sky completes historical Tour – Vuelta double

In winning, Team Sky captain Chris Froome becomes the first rider who won the Vuelta-Tour double since 1978, and only the third ever after Jacques Anquetil (1963) and Bernard Hinault (1978) to win the French and Spanish Grand Tours in the same year. The Team Sky leader has now won five Grand Tours within the last five years. Enjoy a gallery of some highlights of three weeks of racing across Spain with images by Tim De Waele and Russ Ellis.

Van Lierde and Lester dominate Ironman France

Past weekend’s IRONMAN France (Nice) was a total triumph for Castelli athletes, who took the women’s and men’s titles at Côte d’Azur. Carrie Lester (AUS) – who was opting for a Free Speed W Race Jersey to ensure good aerodynamics on the bike and additional sun protection paired with Free W Tri Shorts – crossed the line first in 9:27:53, 10:38 ahead of runner-up Annabel Luxford. Belgian Frederik Van Lierde – a frequent competitor in France – managed to seal his 4th victory at Promenade des Anglais this year. In the past few weeks Castelli triathletes were racing across the globe on different distances and race formats with significant success. She finished second in the end.
