Coming back from the Eurobike show, we decide to stop by the “Museo della Bicicletta” in Cosseria, a beautiful place near Savona, immersed into the mountains bordering the Ligurian sea. Luciano made the promoter for us at the Eurobike show, carrying his bike into the halls of the fair of Friedrichshafen dressed with a old cycling kit and a old bike with two hostess giving invitations and gifts about our Retro Party we did the evening before. Entering the museum of Cosseria seems the time has stopped if you look at what Luciano has collected: all the walls are completely covered by the most significant jerseys of cycling like Zoetemelk, Gimondi, Fondriest or Anquetil jerseys. He says he has more than 300 jerseys, and many of them are certainly Castelli but the biggest part of the collection is represented by a lot of Vittore Gianni jerseys, the 1897 brand that become Castelli in the 70’s. He has Vittore Gianni jersey of Marino Basso, Romeo Venturelli and other big names of the italian cycling. It was a very big surprise for us seeing that Vittore Gianni, the brand we represent today, made cycling equipment to all these champions, because our story is so ...

The second week of the Tour of France has gone. Unfortunately before the 12th stage Andrew Talansky had to leave the Tour, after a long fight against the pain, due to a crash on stage 10. He tried to remain in the race until he could, he didn’t want to give up, but he was losing too minutes and he was out of the competition. Andrew says to be disappointed, and proud of his team that supported him all the season. Today the Tour is in pause, and all the riders can relax to restart tomorrow with a 237 km stage (Carcassonne – Bagneres de Luchon). Probably this stage will be not the crucial but some attacks would happen: riders will have to pedal cleverly because this stage has a very dangerous roads. Today we you enjoy this pictures of the second week of The Tour of France by Jered Gruber.

After one day of pause, the Tour restarts today with the stage of Besançon – Oyonnax. The Tour de France seems to be very hard: the weather was inclement with continuous rains, bad conditions and wet tarmac and a dangerous paved roads (Ypres – Arenberg Porte du Hainaut). After the fall of Chris Froome and Alberto Contador, that caused the brake of the wrist and the hand in Chris and the leg in Alberto, that caused the retirement from the Tour of the two bigs, “la Grand Boucle” is showing us how hard this race can be. Our Andrew Talanky were unlucky too, but he is fine enough to continue his race, standing up and trying to rech the yellow jersey. We hope for a quick healing of Chirs and Alberto, and we are costantly following the Tour, full of dramatic turns of events. Here a small photogallery with some photos by Jered Gruber.
