The past few days of the Vuelta a Espana have been marred by drama with Alberto Contador (Tinkoff-Saxo) looking strong in the lead as the second week of the race unfolds. In this piece we bring you a gallery of images from stages 12 to 15.
Hesjedal had been in the company of Olivier Zaugg (Tinkoff-Saxo) in the closing kilometres but dropped the Swiss rider and going on to win stage 14 by 10 seconds.
