The Maratona 2016 Edition Race Jersey answers the pro-riders’ requests for a super-lightweight, highly breathable jersey for the mountain stages of the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France. The men’s and women’s jersey are made from 3D mesh fabric on the front and shoulders to keep the jersey aero, light and dry, and the waist band to keep the 3 rear and zippered key pocket in place. Gran Fondo Giro d’Italia Northern Ireland partners with Castelli

The official legacy event of the 2014 Giro d’Italia Big Start, Gran Fondo Giro d’Italia Northern Ireland, is proud to be partnering with Castelli, one of the world’s leading cycle clothing manufacturers. The second edition of the closed-road Gran Fondo will take place in Belfast on June 5th and every rider that registered before midnight on April 15th, will receive a Castelli Team jersey as part of their registration fee. This jersey has a RRP of £70. Darach McQuaid, event organiser said: “Partnering with an iconic cycling brand such as Castelli and bringing their famous Italian cycling product into the heart of the event for our riders is another great way for us to celebrate the Giro, and Italian cycling. Impressive sixth place finish at Tour of Flanders for Cannondale

Great ride by Dylan Van Baarle who rode to sixth place at Ronde van Vlaanderen on Sunday. Following a classics season marred by illness and injury, this result was a much needed boost for ‎Green Argyle. “This sixth place meant a lot for me but also for the team. Last weekend was not how we wanted. Everyone was not fit and so many were sick. After the weekend, we were pretty depressed. But with this result, we can be very happy. It’s not my result alone. 1990 Giro d’Italia Champion Gianni Bugno to swap his pink jersey for the official race jersey, supplied by Castelli, of the Gran Fondo Giro d’Italia Northern Ireland on June 5th, 2016. Gran Fondo Giro d’Italia Northern Ireland, the official legacy event of the 2014 Giro Big Start is very proud to announce Gianni Bugno, 1990 Giro d’Italia Champion and double World Champion (1991/92), will travel to Belfast to ride the Gran Fondo 5 June, 2016. Gianni Bugno said: “Since I saw how successful the 2014 Giro d’Italia Big Start was and how passionate the people in Northern Ireland were about cycling, it has been a big ambition of mine to come to ride my bike in Northern Ireland and experience the spectacular scenery.
