THE ONE AND ONLY WORLD TOUR RACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST

CASTELLI OFFICIAL PARTNER OF THE UAE TOUR 2020, THE ONE AND ONLY WORLD TOUR RACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST The new UCI WorldTour race will start in Dubai and end in Abu Dhabi, with a route that runs through the Emirates. Four stages dedicated to sprinters, one for puncheurs and two for climbers. The only WorldTour race in the Middle East, organized by the Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah Sports Councils, in partnership with RCS Sport, is scheduled from 23rd to 29th February 2020. Chris Froome will be the big star of the event for sure, he will return to racing at the UAE Tour as he continues his recovery from career-threatening injuries. Froome broke multiple bones, including his right femur, a hip and ribs, when he crashed into a wall at high speed during a recon ride at the Critérium du Dauphiné last June. CASTELLI OFFICIAL PARTNER OF THE UAE TOUR, THE ONE AND ONLY WORLDTOUR RACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST The new UCI WorldTour race will start in Abu Dhabi and end in Dubai, with a route that runs through the Emirates. The merger between the Dubai Tour and the Abu Dhabi Tour will create a bigger, better and more successful race. – The UAE Tour, the one and only WorldTour race in the Middle East – The choice to merge was likely made because the change was necessary in order to grow. Having a longer race is an opportunity to offer a good mix of stages, open to all kinds of riders, like Tirreno-Adriatico. The debut edition of the UAE Tour, scheduled from February 24 to March 2, 2019, will take place with a new logo and a new trophy but the same passion and the same leaders’ jerseys supplier. Milano-Torino – A race with a long history

Castelli traces its roots back to 1876, when Vittore Gianni founded his fine tailoring business in the heart of Milan. That same year saw the first edition of Milano-Torino, the oldest bicycle race still on the calendar today, at 142 years. Now in its 99th edition, the 200-kilometer end-of-season cycling battle that has been won by great climbing specialists and puncheurs is set to put on another show, with the riders tackling the Colle di Superga for the first time at 24 kilometers to the finish. The spectacular hill overlooking Turin is a real climb, with a gradient averaging 9.1 percent over 4.9 kilometers. The iconic hill will thin out the peloton and see some riders try to attack in an attempt to build a gap there and on the technical descent that leads back to Turin before the second and final ascent of the hill with 5 kilometers to go.
