The pros have taken to Zwift like never before. While their day jobs may be on hold temporarily, they can ill afford to rest up in quarantine like many of us. With cycling fitness, it’s a question of use it or lose it. And in the current climate, Zwift and other online platforms provide the only means by which many can train effectively. If you’ve been waiting for your opportunity to test your legs against the pros, then you’ve never had a better chance. The cycling season never quite got started, so you may even stand a chance! Many of our favorite pro riders past and present are on Zwift. And with little in the way of racing or outdoor riding available, it’s hard to keep them off the platform. Keep an eye on their twitter accounts for when they’ll be riding. You can also ride with professional road athletes or triathletes every Tuesday at 19:25 (CET) and ‘Ride It Out with Castelli’. The rides are social in nature, on rolling courses, with the aim of getting riders together, supporting each other and having a chat along the way.  Many will find it hard to stick to the pace of the ...

Egan Bernal, geraint thomas, le tour, tdf, Team INEOS, Team Sky, tour de france, Yellow jersey -

When Egan Bernal signed for Team Sky two years ago all experts agreed that the only 22-year-old Colombian is a rough diamond with a promising future ahead. Before the season Egan wasn’t even supposed to ride the Tour. He should have been the dedicated captain for the Giro d’Italia in May. But it was to be different. His crash including a broken collarbone and another setback for the team – Chris Froome’s fatal crash – ultimately led to Team INEOS’ dual leadership for the Tour. It’s pointless to speculate how this fact influenced the progress of the race this year but opened some new possibility and tactical options, especially for the three decisive mountain stages in the final week. Three stages where Egan Bernal proved that he clearly was the strongest climber this year and laid the foundation to take the yellow jersey. Lean back and enjoy some highlights of the past three weeks captured by Team INEOS, Ashley & Jered Gruber and Getty Images.

Sir Dave Brailsford says, “This is a momentous day for the Team, our fans and cycling in general. We are all hugely excited about the future with INEOS at the helm.” Steve Smith, Brand Manager at Castelli, is excited about the new era with the team, commenting: “Our partnership with the team continues to go from strength-to-strength, the staff and riders provide us with valuable feedback which we use to continuously improve our products. This is vital for Castelli because most of the Team INEOS products end up in our Castelli collection, so we’re happy to incorporate the ...
