Based on the characteristics of the stage and the weather conditions, every rider makes his own clothing choices. It’s important to show up at the start with the “perfect” clothing, but it’s also important to select the right pieces to have in the team car during the race or in the team bus before the race when there will be a warm-up session on the rollers. We took a moment to chat with Andrea Peron, Castelli Race Performance Director, about what clothing the riders of team Cannondale-Drapac selected during the most significant stages of the 2016 Giro d’Italia.   STAGE 1 Individual TT. The official legacy event of the 2014 Giro d’Italia Big Start, Gran Fondo Giro d’Italia Northern Ireland, is proud to be partnering with Castelli, one of the world’s leading cycle clothing manufacturers. The 2016 Giro d’Italia course was unveiled today. Among the many revelations, one stand out in particular. To celebrate the 30th edition of the Maratona dles Dolomites​ next year, the 14th stage of the Giro will cross the iconic mountain roads of Europe’s premier Gran Fondo race. This is an exceptional acknowledgement by the Giro organizers to a sports event that in its thirty years of existence has succeeded in bringing to fruition the full potential of the Dolomite-biking experience, increasing the importance and awareness of the strategic benefits of two-wheeled tourism, not only in the Dolomites, but in all of Alto Adige. We’re halfway through the Giro, It’s been an exciting ten days so far. With the race kicking off in Ireland and spending three days there taking in the emerald isle. Then heading back to its normal stomping ground of the roads of Italy.
