The 24-year-old Peter Stetina, Garmin-Sharp-Barracuda, rode and completed his second Giro d’Italia playing a crucial support role in the mountains for Hesjedal. Stetina himself wore the best young rider jersey at this Giro on the journey to the team winning the final Maglia Rosa in Milan.

Ryder Hesjedal (Garmin-Barracuda) delivered a solid final-day effort to become the first Canadian rider to win a grand tour when he finished 47 seconds ahead of Joaquim Rodríguez (Katusha). Hesjedal finished sixth in the 28.2km time-trail in Milan. CONGRATULATIONS Ryder and Team Garmin-Barracuda on a truly beautiful Giro win!
