Team Sky special edition jersey revealed for 2018 Tour de France

Sky Ocean Rescue Tour De France kit revealed Team Sky and Castelli join the Sky Ocean Rescue journey by unveiling a striking new kit design for the upcoming Tour de France. The new kit will act as a catalyst to drive awareness for Team Sky leading the way in inspiring people to make simple, everyday changes to stop our oceans drowning in plastic. The kit, will be showcased at the Tour de France (July 7th–29th), where Team Sky riders will wear a bespoke version jersey at the Team presentation, that has been exclusively developed from plastic material that has been redeemed from our Oceans. The special-edition kit, which features an orca on the back of the jersey, aims to drive awareness and understanding of Sky Ocean Rescue (SOR) to the cycling community and beyond, as well as ensuring Team Sky stands out in the peloton. With 8 million tons of plastic entering the ocean every year, Sky has committed itself to eliminating single-use plastic from its business. Chris Froome and Team Sky completes historical Tour – Vuelta double

In winning, Team Sky captain Chris Froome becomes the first rider who won the Vuelta-Tour double since 1978, and only the third ever after Jacques Anquetil (1963) and Bernard Hinault (1978) to win the French and Spanish Grand Tours in the same year. The Team Sky leader has now won five Grand Tours within the last five years. Enjoy a gallery of some highlights of three weeks of racing across Spain with images by Tim De Waele and Russ Ellis.

Climber’s Jersey and Inferno Bibshort – the ultimate summer kit

The Climber’s Jersey and Inferno Bibshort are designed for racing in the mountains or in hot weather. We didn’t want to completely ignore aerodynamics, so we used patterning similar to our Aero Race 5.1 Jersey, which we knew was fast. The resulting jersey is extremely cool and light and instantly became a favorite with our pro riders.
