Castelli to sponsor National Team Jersey

Italian brand becomes official partner and sponsor of Italian National Cycling Federation for 2014 UCI Road World Championships in Spain. Castelli has signed an exclusive partnership agreement with the Italian National Cycling Federation for the 2014 UCI Road World Championships, which will be held in the historic city of Ponferrada in northwest Spain from September 21 to 28. The sponsorship is further evidence of the Italian brand’s dedication to making clothing that provides a competitive advantage. Castelli has been the technical sponsor of the Italian National Cycling Federation since 2010. Alex Zanardi – Touch The Sky

This is a short, but very intimate portrait of Alex Zanardi, the former Formula 1 driver and winner of the American Champ Car Series. Alex was already a star, when he had his almost fatal accident at the Lausitzring in Germany. He lost his legs, but not his attitude. Alex Zanardi came back and did the impossible. He won races in the World Touring Car Championship, two gold medals at the Paralympics in London 2012 and just recently two hand bike world titles. It was a unique experience to spend a day with him at his house in Padova, talking about his life and joining him for a training session with his hand bike. Tyler Farrar Joins Team MTN-Qhubeka

Bringing to end a near-decade with one team and embarking on a new project with another, Tyler Farrar has confirmed that he will race with the Team MTN-Qhubeka squad in 2015. The American has taken six individual stages in Grand Tours; one in the 2011 Tour de France, two in the 2010 Giro d’Italia and three Vuelta stages between 2009 and 2010. However his rate of victories has slowed in the past two seasons and the 30 year old is looking for a fresh start to try to get things back on track. “I am really excited and happy to be joining Team MTN-Qhubeka next year,” he said. “This is a big change for me in my cycling career after having spent seven years with my current team. I feel it is the perfect timing for me to move on though and Team MTN-Qhubeka is definitely the team that appealed to me the most.” Farrar is part of a general fortifying of the team; new signings include Edvald Boasson Hagen and Theo Bos and, together with the current team captain Gerald Ciolek, the team will have a strong sprinting and Classics presence in 2015.
