A 2-time US National Cyclocross Champion and 3-time medalist at Masters Cyclocross World Championships, Kristin loves to evangelize all things ‘cross and gravel and is especially excited to get more women involved in the sport.   There is something about the cold, hibernal months that always pulls me into a state of reflection. December closed out the past year with a stamp on its events in a permanent and finite way, and last year was one of the hardest years of my life. ­   2019 was the year I lost Andy, my best guy friend, the father to three sons and lover to one beautiful woman. Andy died of a massive heart attack while racing in a duo mountain bike race with his 12-year old son in Steamboat, Colorado. THE ONE AND ONLY WORLD TOUR RACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST

CASTELLI OFFICIAL PARTNER OF THE UAE TOUR 2020, THE ONE AND ONLY WORLD TOUR RACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST The new UCI WorldTour race will start in Dubai and end in Abu Dhabi, with a route that runs through the Emirates. Four stages dedicated to sprinters, one for puncheurs and two for climbers. The only WorldTour race in the Middle East, organized by the Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah Sports Councils, in partnership with RCS Sport, is scheduled from 23rd to 29th February 2020. Chris Froome will be the big star of the event for sure, he will return to racing at the UAE Tour as he continues his recovery from career-threatening injuries. Froome broke multiple bones, including his right femur, a hip and ribs, when he crashed into a wall at high speed during a recon ride at the Critérium du Dauphiné last June. CASTELLI UNVEILS THE 2020 GIRO D’ITALIA JERSEYS

With 102 years of history behind it, the Rosa 103 jersey of the Giro d’Italia looks clearly toward the future. Castelli’s relentless drive to innovate brings revolutionary advances in terms of performance, design and environmental impact. For the first time ever in a Grand Tour, the leaders’ jerseys will be made with fabrics that use recycled yarns, produced by the well-known textile manufacturer Sitip SpA. The recycling is certified in accordance with the Global Recycled Standard, and the fabrics with recycled polyester fibers will be used not only for the jerseys worn in the race but also for the official replicas of the Castelli leaders’ jerseys. Thanks to Sitip’s expertise, these recycled fabrics will have the same weight, elasticity and moisture management capabilities as the fabrics used in edition 102.To enhance performance, Castelli has integrated a number holder into the jersey pockets, which eliminates the need to use pins to attach the race numbers as has been the traditional practice until now.
