Better than the Gabba? The Perfetto Light Jersey

PERFETTO LIGHT SHORT SLEEVE JERSEY: PRO-REQUESTED PERFECTION There’s no denying that the Gabba short-sleeve jersey has been a game changer in pro cycling. Most of the peloton pulls it out whenever the weather is cold or wet. But sometimes the Gabba is too much. The Gabba’s allover protection can make it feel too warm for racing in merely cool conditions, so some of the Cannondale Pro Cycling Team riders asked for protection like the Gabba but with more breathability for milder temperatures. Enter the versatile Perfetto Light. It’s a lightweight, more breathable option with the same weather-resistant qualities and aerodynamic fit that helped the Gabba conquer the cycling world. It has the same cut as the Gabba and combines a lightweight windproof and water-resistant Windstopper® 150 material on the front, shoulders and sleeves (25% lighter than the fabric used on the Gabba) with a water-resistant Nano Light Pro on the back (an unbrushed version of the Nano Flex fabric, which is highly water repellent and stretchy but has no membrane to inhibit air exchange). Aero Race: the most aerodynamic jersey ever created

The Aero Race Jersey originates from a very simple concept that is representative of the Castelli DNA: enabling riders to go as fast as possible. The idea emerged when we realized that improving the fit of the clothing reduced aerodynamic drag, allowing the rider to gain precious seconds. Gabba 2 Long-Sleeve: lightweight and protective

GABBA 2 is phenomenal because it keeps out the elements while offering excellent breathability and stretch combined with a perfect fit. Pro riders appreciate this product for racing in foul conditions but what does it represent for everyone else? You probably love it in any weather that doesn’t involve sunshine. This jersey keeps you warm and dry and provides protection from wind and light rain. But the real question is: why does Castelli offer a long sleeve version? Standard long sleeve jerseys are good to be worn as part of a layering system, but are they really suitable as an outer layer over a base layer? They can be used for summer evenings to take the chill off and for spring, autumn and winter months when the temperature is not too low. And what about rain and wind?
