We’re excited to reveal the new Team INEOS race kit and enter a new exciting era with the team. Team INEOS x Castelli will continue to push boundaries bringing more innovations to meet the demands of top-level pros as well as performance-focused cyclists. Just as Team INEOS, we leave nothing to chance and share the same drive for results-driven innovation in everything we do. The jersey retains the iconic line on the back, defining a feature that has been ever-present since the team’s inception, a Burgundy red to black gradient, and the rider names will remain on the side of the jersey. Sir Dave Brailsford says, “This is a momentous day for the Team, our fans and cycling in general. We are all hugely excited about the future with INEOS at the helm.” Steve Smith, Brand Manager at Castelli, is excited about the new era with the team, commenting: “Our partnership with the team continues to go from strength-to-strength, the staff and riders provide us with valuable feedback which we use to continuously improve our products. This is vital for Castelli because most of the Team INEOS products end up in our Castelli collection, so we’re happy to incorporate the ...

Living less than two hours from our headquarters, Gianni Moscon is a familiar face in the office and in the local cycling community in the Veneto and Trentino regions. In our work with the pros, we often have the opportunity to meet some amazing people who share our passion. Sometimes the person behind the sunglasses is different than you might expect. The 24-year-old Team Sky rider from Val di Non weathered a big storm when he was ejected from the Tour de France last year and suspended for five weeks after being seen taking a swing at Fortuneo-Samsic’s Elie Gesbert during stage 15. We’re not ignoring what people think, but we want to provide more insight into the real Gianni Moscon in this article and video.   MEET THE MAN BEHIND THE SUNGLASSES On a cold November day, we sat down with Moscon at the family farm in Livo, Trentino, for a chat about his rapid rise in the pro ranks, Team Sky, his passion for cycling, his first pedal strokes and growing up as an apple farmer.   The hugely gifted 24-year-old is considered one of the biggest talents in the sport. He finished fifth in his second attempt ...

castelli, cycling, Epic Climbs, koppenberg, riding, ronde van vlaanderen, tour of flanders -

There are very few climbs in modern bike racing that can bring a pro racer to his knees. With the evolution of intelligent gearing, the steepest climbs have been tamed. However, defying all technological advances, the Koppenberg takes us back to a time when plodding upward on foot was just as common a means of forward movement as pedaling. It’s steep, cobbled and mythical in nature. A magnificent setting for many of the photos used in our catalogs. We’ve always felt a tie to Belgium, cycling’s other heartland. When it comes to cobbled climbs, few can compare to the Koppenberg for difficulty. It’s not massively long, and the stats are nothing to go home crying about, but with gradients of up to 22 percent and an average of just under 12 percent over 600 meters, it’s an incredibly challenging climb, even for the professionals. There’s only one ascent of the Koppenberg in the Tour of Flanders, but it comes 224 kilometers into what many would say is the most difficult one-day race of the year, and with just 46 kilometers to go, so no one can afford to take it easy. There’s no real run-up to the Koppenberg. When you ...
