The past three weeks haven proven in an impressive way that the most important bike race can only be won if everyone is moving in the same direction. As an individual person one might be able to shine for a day or two but going through thick and thin requires full dedication of every single team member. Geraint Thomas‘ has not only won the 6th Tour for Team Sky but also celebrated two stage victories including the prestigious arrival at Alpe d’Huez.   Sky Ocean Rescue Tour De France kit revealed Team Sky and Castelli join the Sky Ocean Rescue journey by unveiling a striking new kit design for the upcoming Tour de France. The new kit will act as a catalyst to drive awareness for Team Sky leading the way in inspiring people to make simple, everyday changes to stop our oceans drowning in plastic.   The kit, will be showcased at the Tour de France (July 7th–29th), where Team Sky riders will wear a bespoke version jersey at the Team presentation, that has been exclusively developed from plastic material that has been redeemed from our Oceans. The special-edition kit, which features an orca on the back of the jersey, aims to drive awareness and understanding of Sky Ocean Rescue (SOR) to the cycling community and beyond, as well as ensuring Team Sky stands out in the peloton.     With 8 million tons of plastic entering the ocean every year, Sky has committed itself to eliminating single-use plastic from its business. In winning, Team Sky captain Chris Froome becomes the first rider who won  the Vuelta-Tour double since 1978, and only the third ever after Jacques Anquetil (1963) and Bernard Hinault (1978) to win the French and Spanish Grand Tours in the same year. The Team Sky leader has now won five Grand Tours within the last five years.
