Many top stars of the tri scene no longer want to race without short-sleeved kits. Castelli offers several short-sleeved options to accommodate different weather conditions or personal preferences. Athletes who prefer a two-piece combo will have another option for 2017. While the updated T1:Stealth Top 2 is a no-compromise piece specially designed for the bike leg, the all-new Free Speed Race Jersey is meant to be worn for the entire race, from start to finish. The short-sleeved construction ensures good aerodynamics on the bike and provides additional sun protection. UNRESTRICTED FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT The jersey’s real benefits come into play during the run. The stretchy fabric allows excellent freedom of movement and is highly breathable. For those who opt to swim without a race top underneath a wetsuit, the Free Speed Race Jersey can be put on almost instantly in T1, even with wet skin, thanks to the full-length YKK® Camlock® front zip. SnapLock fasteners at the lower back allow you to attach the back of the jersey to the Free Tri Short to prevent riding up during swim or bike leg. Two rear pockets can hold nutrition or kit options like a vest or arm warmers when not needed. ...

Last weekend Scotsman Fraser Cartmell won the Scottish National Title over the olympic distance. The race was held in Strathclyde Park, Glasgow, which was the venue for the Commonwealth Games triathlon event at Glasgow 2014 last summer. The bike course was run over a challenging course (7 laps for 40k). On the way to success, Fraser wore his customized short-sleeved Free triathlon suit plus a T1:Stealth Top. This combination doesn’t only provide best possible aerodynamics, but is also a great choice for chillier conditions, just like on that day. Region Trentino, represented by Team Wilier Sat System, this year gained the 11th final place, but with the umpteenth unlucky episode. Until two third of race Massimo was author of a very positive performance, the first two half times in Fuldera and Livigno passed 3rd, and 6th in Chanf. 10 kilometers from the arrival one link of the chain broke up, making him lose precious time and many positions. Fixed the problem, thanks also to a amateur rider, Massimo tried to recover as he could, making the 8th best time of the ultimate portion, to 28 minutes from the winner. Coming back from the Eurobike show, we decide to stop by the “Museo della Bicicletta” in Cosseria, a beautiful place near Savona, immersed into the mountains bordering the Ligurian sea. Luciano made the promoter for us at the Eurobike show, carrying his bike into the halls of the fair of Friedrichshafen dressed with a old cycling kit and a old bike with two hostess giving invitations and gifts about our Retro Party we did the evening before. Entering the museum of Cosseria seems the time has stopped if you look at what Luciano has collected: all the walls are completely covered by the most significant jerseys of cycling like Zoetemelk, Gimondi, Fondriest or Anquetil jerseys. He says he has more than 300 jerseys, and many of them are certainly Castelli but the biggest part of the collection is represented by a lot of Vittore Gianni jerseys, the 1897 brand that become Castelli in the 70’s. He has Vittore Gianni jersey of Marino Basso, Romeo Venturelli and other big names of the italian cycling. It was a very big surprise for us seeing that Vittore Gianni, the brand we represent today, made cycling equipment to all these champions, because our story is so ...
