Trek-Segafredo is bolstering its roster with two very fast finishers as well as a promising prospect. On Monday, the team announced three signings for next season.

2016 world road champion Amalie Dideriksen, veteran sprint star Chloe Hosking, and Shirin van Anrooij, who has been riding as a stagiaire with the the team since August, will all join Trek-Segafredo next season on two-year contracts.

“Shirin, she’s a young, intelligent rider who I think starts to figure out where she will go so it will be nice to help her develop as a rider and an elite and she what she will be in a couple of years’ time,” Trek-Segafredo Ina Teutenberg told CyclingTips. “Chloe and Amalie are established pros in the peloton. I think we were lacking a little bit of speed in the last few years so it will be nice to have these two options, two experienced riders.”

Dideriksen, who won the 2016 world road title in Doha, has spent been with Boels-Dolmans since 2015. The 24-year-old Dane has won Denmark’s national road title four times along with one time trial title, and her list of WorldTour triumphs includes the Ronde van Drenthe and stage wins at the Boels Ladies Tour and the Women’s Tour.

“Amalie will add strength to our classics group,” Teutenberg said in a team statement. “She’s a former World Champion and a good sprinter who has the ability to win out of breakaways, and I think she will be a really good asset for the team and help us be stronger in those specific race scenarios. She’s still quite young, and I’m confident she can still improve a great deal year by year. I’m excited to work with her starting next season.”

Dideriksen is also a talent on the track, and will balance both her indoor and outdoor ambitions in 2020.

“I have a big goal next year with the Olympic Games on the track, which I hope to combine with a strong road program,” she said. “I look forward to helping strengthen the team’s lead-outs and being the designated sprinter when the opportunity comes.”

Hosking will join Trek after spending 2020 with Rally. The 30-year-old Australian’s long list of career achievements includes wins at La Course and the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race, two overall victories at the Tour of Chongming Island and one at the Tour of Guangxi, and numerous sprint stage wins at stage races.

“I’m coming into this team as a sprinter, so obviously my main goal is to win big sprint races,” Hosking said. “I have won a few races in my career so far, but I would like to win more, particularly some of the spring classics, like Gent-Wevelgem. I would love to etch my name into the winners’ list of that race with Trek-Segafredo name across my chest.”

Van Anrooij, 18, sports an impressive resume from her time racing in the junior ranks. Last year, she won the Dutch and the European junior women’s time trial titles and then rode to the silver medal in the junior women’s TT at Worlds in Yorkshire, finishing just four seconds down on winer Aigul Gareeva. She joined Trek-Segafredo as a stagiaire this season and has already picked up experience racing the Tour de l’Ardeche, the Trophée des Grimpeuses, and Brabantse Pijl with the team.

“It has always been a dream of mine to become a professional cyclist, but it’s so surreal to think that I’m already getting this opportunity at such a young age,” Van Anrooij said. “I’m so thankful for the trust from everyone from the team. I think the upcoming years will be all about gaining lots of experience and about improving myself as a rider.”
