According to the AFP, one spectator was seriously injured and another was also hurt when Marc Sarreau (AG2R Citroën) crashed and went over the barriers on Friday’s fifth and final stage of the Tour Poitou-Charentes.

AFP reports that the Frenchman and two other people were hospitalized. Sarreau is reportedly suffering from shock, while two women aged 64 and 67 sustained injuries, with the former more seriously hurt.

The 64-year-old spectator reportedly suffered “multiple injuries and trauma.”
