Lezyne redesigns its entire range of multi-tools

Lezyne has completely redesigned and retooled its entire multitool range to improve utility, precision, ergonomics, and durability. The already popular range of multi-tools claims to combine “workshop quality with palm-sized portability”.

Lezyne created the multi-tool range to feature precision-machined tool bits, optimized ergonomics, and improved corrosion-resistance based on the experience of testing in the real world.

The range features six foldable multitool series: the Super SV, Super V, SV Pro, V Pro, RAP II Co2, and RAP II. Each of these series offers a number of different tool configurations, providing a total of 23 variations of multitool to choose from. The various series are demarcated by the materials used and, thus, their price. The Super SV is stainless while the V Pro and the RAP models are aluminium with an anti-corrosion treatment.

The new designs offer smoother tool foldout and longer reach tool bits with improved tolerances. New side plates are said to improve ergonomics while lowering the overall weight of the tool.

The Super SV features an impressive range of tools in a compact solution.

The most complete tool of the range is the Super SV series. The Super SV 22 features a range of hex keys, Torx keys, a Phillips head, 8 and 10mm wrenches, four spoke keys, rotor truing fork, disc brake wedge, bottle opener, magnetic quick link holder, and a chain breaker. The top of the range Super SV 23 adds a tubeless needle and plug carrier to the same list of tools.

The 22 weighs in at 144g while the 23 gains 12g with the addition of the tubeless needle and plug totalling 156g. The Super SV range is priced from US$49.99 with international pricing to be confirmed.

The RAP II and RAP II Co2 are perhaps the most impressive in the range. Like its more expensive siblings, the V Pro and Super V, the RAP range gets Lezyne’s new “Black Anti-Corrosive Technology” said to provide superior corrosion resistance.

The RAP range is available with seven different combinations of tools, beginning with simple Allen keys and getting more complicated from there. The RAP II Co2 range offers 19 and 25 combination options and is equipped with a machined aluminium Co2 dispenser, as the name suggests.

The RAP II Co2 weighs in at 158g and 187g starting at US$29.99. While the RAP II series starts with an 82g six tool option, priced at US$12.99.

The range is rounded out with the Super V, SV Pro and V pro tools which feature another 14 combination options across the ranges.
