Deceuninck-Quick-Step will become Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl in 2022
After three seasons as Deceuninck-Quick-Step, the Belgian WorldTour squad run by Patrick Lefevere will race under a new name in 2022.
The team announced on Monday that it will become Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl next season as Deceuninck bows out as a title sponsor.
Deceuninck, which makes PVC window systems and other fixtures, came aboard at the start of 2019, when the team changed from Quick-Step Floors to its current name.
Quick-Step recently announced that it had extended its partnership with the team through 2027. With that longterm relationship established and no co-title sponsor to share space in the name any longer, one of Quick-Step’s products will be reflected in the team’s name starting in 2022.
A press release described the company’s Alpha Vinyl floors as “rigid, 100%-watertight, ultra-strong vinyl flooring solutions that are almost indistinguishable from real wood or stone.”
