Brendan Johnston on overcoming cancer, winning the Warny, and advice for two old blokes

Brendan Johnston (aka ‘Trekky’) is a four-time XCM National Champion of Australia, he finished 24th in the Elite category of the 2019 Cape Epic (with partner Cam Ivory), and just won one of the world’s oldest road races, the Melbourne – Warrnambool.

Trekky is not only an extraordinary human being because of his race results, but also because of his story of overcoming testicular cancer ten years ago, running a successful business while competing at the elite level, and putting his heart and soul into everything he does.

In this interview, we chat with Trekky about his passion and drive to win the Melbourne to Warrnambool, his battle with cancer, and most of all his advice for two old blokes who are on their Road to Cape Epic.
