Gazetta is reporting that two Team UAE masseurs are suspected of having feverish symptoms, leading to the alarm.
CyclingTips reporter, Dane Cash, is in attendance at the race and says that teams are in one hotel, and media and other staff in another hotel. “We can’t leave our hotel, and neither can anyone else – not just race people; the hotel is on lockdown,” Cash says. “I’m told individual checks are being conducted on teams right now.”
It’s a shame that the #UAETour has been cancelled but public health must come first. We are all awaiting testing and will remain at the hotel until further notice. I hope those affected make a speedy recovery and there aren’t any further cases #coronavirus
