Five Ten sent us over a few pairs of their now massive selection of riding shoes, but this was definitely the model we were most interested in, specifically designed around the needs of the Enduro rider. Five Tens have been known to be big heavy cumbersome things, which soaked up the wet stuff like a sponge! These riding shoes were more suited toward the DH racers who haven’t a care in the world...

There are some things that interfere with riding flow when a group go out for a big ride. One of those is certainly the constant ‘on and off’ of knee pads before and after each downhill. However, The comfort of knee guards has increased in recent years greatly, by using modern and flexible padding material. Race Face has released the Indy Knee Guard, the thinnest knee pads in the range, which not only scores with a good fit, but should also be highly protective.

In the Enduro World Series, the new Devinci Spartan has already caused a stir. Damien Oton succeeded not only a 6th place in Scotland, but also stood on the podium in Valloire with an amazing 2nd place, impressively demonstrating that the newest bike of the Canadian manufacturer is really fast. Recently the German Devinci distributor, “Shocker distribution”, called us to arrange a detailed review. In addition to several tours on our home trails and in the alps, we were keen to test the new Devinci Spartan in a race too.
