Preview Group Test: 7 short travel Trailbikes for adventures
Finding the best bike for long day trips, a tour about the alps or a fast round on the hometrails, that was our goal of the next group test which will be published in Issue #011 of ENDURO. Therefore, we have traveled with the 7 most interesting Trailbikes with 130-150 mm of travel to South Tyrol for a intensive week of testing. In addition to several rounds in a direct comparison on a specical test track, the bikes had to prove on an alpine tour too.
Long Term Test: BMC Trailfox TF01 XX1 Trailcrew Bike Review
Editor in Chief Robin Schmitt has been aboard the BMC Trailfox TF01 XX1 Trailcrew since March. After 30 hours of riding and 10.000 metres descending as well as our first-look-article, it’s time for a test report.
“That I’m a fan of 29-ers doesn’t need repeating, last year I rode the Specialized Enduro 29 Expert Carbon, this year the Trailfox”, says Robin. So the question is: what is BMC’s 6.999-Euro-Swiss sled capable of?
Tested: Riding Kit For The Ladies – Urge, POC, O’Neal
In this fast growing hobby of Enduro/trail riding there seems to be no end of kit for the chaps, but what about when it comes to the ladies. We did some digging around to get our subject (Emma) all kitted out for what we thought would be women’s specific clothing. This, believe it or not seemed harder than it sounds. Some girl specific riding kit just consists of dodgy looking tight lycra everything, and let’s face it the girls just want to wear cool looking kit, just like the lads.
Team Tested: Crankbrothers Iodine 3 Wheels Review
It doesn’t matter if you’re on the trail or just rolling through town, the Iodine wheels demand a lot of attention. The thick, long and golden spokes are visible from a distance and certainly raise the ‘pimp-factor’ of the bike. The design of the Crankbro’s sets them apart from the competition, and we were curious to see how they perform.
Team Tested: ENVE 60 forty Carbon Rims Review
They look cool, they’re light, they’re stiff and they’re super strong, or so we are all made to believe when it comes to ENVE rims! But just how good are they, and at 850GBP per rim, can they really be worth as much as a cheap family car for the pair?
