A couple days ago the waiting was over for our long-term tester Vinzenz. He finally received his bike for the 2014 season direct from the manufacturer – the Propain Twoface 3. As Vinzenz works as a bike guide, the bike will collect countless kilometers on bike tours in and over the Alps. In the first week he cracked the 10,000 vertical meters mark with the new bike. We are curious how many he will have ridden at the end of the season, and if the Twoface can withstand that tough test.

In Issue #009 of ENDURO we tested six interesting forks. At this time, the newest fork from Manitou, the Mattoc Pro was not available. The fork is now on the market and we have been putting the fork through an intense test over the last few weeks. Tires are the only connecting link between the rider and the terrain, thus they are primarily responsible for the performance of the bike. The demands we place on modern tires are high, we aim for good rolling performance, whilst still maintaining lots of grip and high puncture protection. Tire choice is always a question of faith and is strongly influenced by regional differences. We tested 6 of the current most popular trail and touring tires, both under full laboratory conditions and out on the trail! Our results can be found in the next issue #011 of ENDURO.
