Lauren Gregg’s Race Diaries, Introduction
Grab your dad’s mountain bike and become a pro – but can it really be that simple? In 2009 Lauren Gregg’s pro mountain bike career took off, following this essentially very simple recipe. A damn quick rider, her rapidly expanding palmarès says it all: California Enduro Series Champion 2014 and a hotly contested second place this year at the hard-fought series. But what’s it like being a successful pro enduro racer?
Race Report | Spectacular End to the Season on Madeira
As we boarded the plane in Munich alongside a shuffling crowd of sandal-clad pensioners, there was little trace of the relaxed southern European nonchalance that we would soon be greeted with, nor of the race fever that’d take us over. We were heading to Madeira, our last chance for a taste of the sun before winter really hits. Now in its third year, the Sandokan Enduro race had been on our race calendar all year and the time was finally here.
Race Report | Mini Enduro Peru 2015
The first time I wrote an article for Enduro Mountainbike Magazine, all I wished for was to share the potential that the Peruvian Andes have for mountain biking. Soon after this trip, the journey continued as I travelled to Chile to race in the renowned Montenbaik series. This time, we set out on a totally different adventure: This is the story of how we organized the first enduro race in the most popular mountain-biking destination of the capital.
Racing | Martin Maes 2016 without Atherton Racing
With Trek Bicycles, the team of Atherton Racing has got a new bike sponsor for the 2016 season. They had some successful years with GT Bicycles, including several wins of the Belgian super talent (!) and youngster Martin Maes. But the EWS top 10 rider won’t follow the Atherton family to Trek and will leave the team. For further information read the press release of Atherton Racing about the future of Martin’s career and the progression he did the past years.
