Last year, it was fair to say that nobody really knew much about the riding in Dunoon, in fact, many had never heard of it. That all changed when the 2016 POC Scottish Enduro Series took over the town, showing the world that there was some trail gold hidden in the hills behind the coastal town. Once again, the sun bleached boardwalk of the Victorian pier hummed with the sound of tyres and cleated shoes as racers returned to the Costa-Del-Dunoon.

The racing in Ireland is over and we have our winners. Again, a feverish crowd lined the stages, a riot of green, white and orange, cheering and jeering each and every rider to the finish. With drying tracks and wild rocks – it was a race to be sure.

If there is ever a race to put on the bucket list, it’s the No-Fuss Macavalanche. A white-knuckle thrill ride down the open flanks of Glencoe mountain. A fusion of an enduro and DH race with a splash of mass start chaos and Scottish flair added in for good measure, it has become one of our favourite races on the calendar.

Enduro in the UK had a bit of a tough year last year, despite the great success of regional series such as the PMBA, POC Scottish Enduro Series and Welsh Enduro Series our eagerly anticipated National series fell flat. Well, it looks like things are turning around in 2017 as last weekend, the Datatag UK National Enduro Championships crowned new British champions in one of the toughest events in the UK so far.
