Pro Bike Check: Angie Hohenwarter’s YT Industries Capra
When YT Industries announced their new carbon enduro bike “Capra” a few weeks ago, its beautiful design caused quite some furore in the scene. We met with the no less beautiful YT teamrider Angie Hohenwarter at the SRAM Trailhouse Italy and used this opportunity for a look at her bike.
The Capra runs on 27.5″ wheels and has 165 millimeters of travel at the rear. The steering angle of the lightweight (2.4 kg, size M) carbon frame is a slack 65.5 degrees and – together with the short 430mm-chainstays – should provide a good compromise between agility and stability. YT uses the same V4L-suspension system as in their often-awarded downhill bikes. With an steep seat-tube angle of 75 degrees, the Capra aims to live up to its name in uphills too – Capra means mountain goat.

The Reverb Remote is mounted via Matchmaker. Angie uses a right-hand remote on the left to mount it under the bar instead of on top. In this way, it’s not that exposed and easier to reach.
