Anyone who has followed the German Specialized-SRAM Enduro Series this year, may have seen the prototype of the new Enduro bike from Focus already: Factory Rider Fabian Scholz was able to get some good results with it. Now the manufacturer from Cloppenburg in Germany has officially unveiled details of the new bike – and its name: Meet the Focus SAM!

The main goal during the development of the SAM was to combine the lightness in uphill of an all-mountain bike with the downhill performance of an enduro bike. The result is a modern bike with 650B wheels and 160mm of travel. No matter if you’re crossing the alps, ride an enduro race or have some fun in a bikepark – according to Focus, the SAM is your bike to go with. Clear frame forms, internal cable routing and – at least in the side view – discreet decals offer a clean look. SAM is an eye catcher for sure.

The geometry of the SAM combines short (438mm) chainstays, a rather long toptube (580 – 645mm) and an flat steering angle of 65.8 degrees. In order to maintain a deep front despite the large wheels, the steering tube is relatively short.
