IBIS Cycles re-signs Anne Caroline Chausson

“Around our corner of California (the San Francisco Bay Area), there’s a lot of sports talk about a sweep that just happened. While most people are talking about the San Francisco Giants sweeping the Detroit Tigers in the World Series*, the dynasty that is on our mind is that of Anne Caroline Chausson.

Anne is finishing up her second year riding for Ibis. So far this year, she won every single race she entered, giving her a clean sweep. She had no DNF’s and no placings other than the top of the podium. It’s not like Anne chose an easy schedule. She focused on the biggest and hardest races of the year, including the grueling 7 day Trans Provence (7 hours on the bike per day) and the intense Mountain of Hell at Crankworx Europe (with 700+ starters and 8500′ feet of descending).

A partial list of Anne’s races this year includes:

  • Sprint Avalanche Lyon (1st Place)
  • Rally of High Vosges (1st Place)
  • Maxivalanche Andorra (1st Place)
  • Crankworx Europe/mountain of Hell (1st Place)
  • Megavalanche Alpe d’Huez (1st Place)
  • Trans’Provence (1st Place)
  • Superenduro Finale Ligure (1st Place)
  • We are proud of Anne’s accomplishments and happy to announce that we’ve just signed Anne to ride Ibis for another two years, through 2013 and 2014. Anne’s looking forward to a lot more racing next year, since her Olympic coaching duties are over now. Here’s to two more great years with the winningest World Cup cyclist on the planet (55 World Cup Victories).

Anne visited us in April for a week of photo and video shooting near San Diego. We have some great photos to show for it, and my broken ribs that I got for trying (foolishly) to keep up with Anne are healed.”

    Cheers,
