First Look | Giro Alpineduro Shoes

The Giro Alpineduro are lace up, clipless shoes built for a rugged winter. They feature a Vibram sole, water resistance and and insulated upper. With rugged but clean (not for long) looks, we’re hoping they will be a good winter option, provided they have the durability to match.

First Impressions:

The Giro Alpineduro is certainly a unique looking cycling shoe, at first they look like high-end hiking boots . We found that the fit and finish are both excellent and the VIBRAM sole unit has been proven by generations of mountaineers. At €180, this shoe faces come stiff competition, so it will have to be good! If like me, a lot of your riding involves long hike-a-bike and mountain carries, the Alipineduro may be a great option, and we are really excited to see how it performs. We will be testing these mercilessly through a Scottish winter to see if their durability lives up to their rugged looks.
