First Look | DHaRCO Australian Hot Weather Riding Kit

Australia definitely isn’t the first place that would come to mind when thinking about producers of enduro/trail riding kit. But when we were offered this specific ‘hot weather’ kit from the guys at DHaRCO we jumped at the chance. We have been putting this stuff through it’s paces through a very (unusual) hot spell in the Scottish highlands, did it impress our testers?

DHaRCO has created surf inspired bike gear for freeride, downhill, enduro and all mountain riding. Their gear is based on a philosophy that amazing fabric, a good fit and common sense technical features makes for great bike clothing.Their clothing is cut using simple lines and has a surf influence in it’s design, so riders feel more like they are wearing normal clothes however highly technical. They claim simplicity has been key for them through the range. They felt there was a lot of ‘marketing hype’ features added to bike clothing that in fact detracted from comfort, so they stripped it back to those features they really felt added value.

One of the key things they have done with the whole range is to keep it simple. Not to the point of compromising on features, but adding only those features they really feel make a difference; and not just marketing hype features. An example is the vent zips that are popular these days. they actually believe these add bulk and reduce comfort of most shorts, and if you have good quality breathable material then they are not needed. They also have a very strong womens range, with a variety of styles and designs. DHaRCO also love to get involved sponsoring events and supporting riders. Over in the UK they are supporting UK Gravity Enduro Director (Steve Parr’s) MDE’s enduro team as well as the UKGE series.

Mens ¾ Sleeve Jerseys

DHaRCO say these have been the most popular mens jersey in the range, due to the design and comfort of the mesh back/underarms. Made for trail and enduro riding, DHaRCO wanted something with lots of mesh and airflow, inspired by the Australian heat. The 3/4 sleeve makes it really versatile.
