Affordable bikes and parts from Eurobike 2016
Not everyone is a trust fund kid, nor are we all likely to earn a generous Swiss wage or even be willing to splash all our savings on the latest must-have part for our bike. But no one is going to deny that we’d like to keep our bikes up-to-date and in tune with the latest technology – plus, it’ll be a bonus to avoid the perpetual fear of being laughed off the trails. Bikes, components, helmets and apparel – we’ve compiled the most wallet-friendly list of products worth splashing some hard-earned cash on.
Giro Chronicle helmet
Channeling many of the same design cues as the well-known Montaro helmet, the Chronicle sports a different cushioning design that has led to a drastic drop in price. With MIPS, the Chronicle retails at € 120, but can also be bought without MIPS for just € 100. Unlike the Montaro, the sides of the Chronicle drop down a bit lower; a feature that’ll please some riders. Essentially it’s a stylish lid for a fair price, so it’s definitely one to have on your radar.

While the new EVO AM Patrol shares certain aesthetic genes with the well-known 661 EVO AM, the change in the foam has seen a subsequent drop in the new lid’s price, reputedly retailing around € 40 less than the EVO AM.
