In celebration of Qhubeka reaching the milestone of 50 000 bicycles distributed throughout South Africa, Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung cyclist Gerald Ciolek has kindly donated his 2014 Milan San Remo jersey to be auctioned off in aid of the charity. The jersey contains the bib number 1, in reference to being the defending champion of the race. Ciolek surprised the cycling world by winning the 2013 edition of the Italian race in sub-zero snowy conditions. The past few days of the Vuelta a Espana have been marred by drama with Alberto Contador (Tinkoff-Saxo) looking strong in the lead as the second week of the race unfolds. In this piece we bring you a gallery of images from stages 12 to 15. Hesjedal had been in the company of Olivier Zaugg (Tinkoff-Saxo) in the closing kilometres but dropped the Swiss rider and going on to win stage 14 by 10 seconds. Theo Bos Joins Team MTN-Qhubeka

Former track Olympic silver medalist and 5 time world champion, Theo Bos, will ride in Castelli and Team MTN-Qhubeka colors next season. Going pro in 2009, Theo has worn the Cervélo TestTeam, Rabobank and Belkin Pro-Cycling Team outfits over the last 5 years, Bos has been able to take his professional win tally up to 35 race victories. Most recently Bos won a stage in the World Tour event, Tour de Pologne, the overall GC victory at the World Ports classic and 4 stage wins in the crazy bunch sprints of Le Tour de Langkawi earlier in the year. Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung is delighted to welcome the Dutchman to Africa’s professional cycling Team.   “I am really excited to be joining Team MTN-Qhubeka.
