No other bike in the test group exudes such attitude as the Scott Spark 900 RC. Even standing still, everything about this bike screams racing — particularly the conspicuous pro-team paint scheme and the classy, uncompromising specification. Look a little closer and the bike promises outstanding climbing and a proper portion of biking fun downhill.

The Bocholt bike brand Rose presented their brand-new XC bike, the Thrill Hill, in July this year. The highlight of the bike is the rear frame with carbon flex seatstays instead of pivots. For our test bike we chose the € 3,999 (quite a bargain considering the spec) top version of the Thrill Hill, which we further fitted to our needs using the Rose online configurator. The result was a machine costing € 4,219 which on paper should not leave any scope for improvement.
