The Review | Cratoni AllTrack Enduro-Helmet
Up until now Cratoni have had the sole reputation for creating rather conservative-looking XC helmets, so imagine our excitement when we stumbled across their stand at BIKE in Riva. Enter the AllTrack, an innovative half-shell helmet specifically designed for enduro. Naturally, we weren’t going to miss the opportunity to get our hands on one of these brainy designs. Over the last few weeks we’ve tested it come rain or shine, and here are the results:
Back Issue | In Review: Felt Edict 1 29er
From our New School XC article in issue #015, where we sought to find the all-rounder, the XC bike that could handle Enduro rides and dominate in all aspects, the Felt Adict does dominate, but not in the respect we were hoping. Without further ado, our hands on, trail thrashing review:
Exclusive Review | The all-new Focus Spine C 0.0 Trail bike 2016
Has anyone heard about that super cool trail bike from Focus? Nope? Exactly. And do you know why? ‘Cos until now, such a thing didn’t exist. But with the Focus Spine, the latest bike to emerge from the Cloppenburg-based company Focus, they’re looking to create quite a stir when it comes to the trail bike market. First of, the stats for the Spine look promising; we’re talking 120mm travel, a super lightweight frame, and speed-inducing geometry, making it set to become a new and much coveted toy for mountain bikers on their post-work ride as well as their massive summer excursions.
Teaser Issue #016 | First Look: Giant Trance Advanced 1
Efficient, versatile and fun; they’re the culmination of these terms. Even once you think they’re at their limit in terms of capabilities; they’ve got more in reserve. So why are they still overshadowed by enduro bikes? We’re talking trail bikes, the true workhorses of the mountain bike world. Whether it’s for a quick blast after work or back-to-back hard days crossing the Alps, the spectrum for these bikes is huge and that’s exactly why they’re often the go-to bike for people looking for the perfect all-rounder. We took eight of the most exciting trail bikes for 2015 to France and put them through their paces under the beating hot sun. You can find the results in issue #016 of ENDURO Mountainbike Magazine, but first here’s a sneak preview of our trip, the tests and the first impressions of the Giant Trance Advanced 1.
Long Term Tested | Hope Lock-On Grips
It’s pretty hard to get overly excited about a grip, but when Hope, the English phenomenon behind some seriously ground-breaking bits of kit, kept Trevor’s hands on the bars for over 1000km, we had to write about them.
