Starling Murmur 29: the Beauty of Custom Geometry from Starling Cycles
Over in the UK we tend to like something a bit special, a bit different and certainly a dream-build when it comes to our long-term parts testing rig. Nothing has changed this year, as our Scott Genius LT Tuned is “decommissioned” and stripped back to the bare frame. We now look to the new year with a totally new build in that of Starling Cycle’s new Murmur 29 bike.
ENDURO Readers’ Survey: The Winner of the Focus JAM Factory
We have all received those junk emails that clutter up our inboxes. “Wow, you have won a prize, all you have to do is fill in your bank details and we will post it out to you” – yeah right! But for one lucky man in Scotland, the email was real! Out of the 16,000 + respondents to our ENDURO 2016 Readers’ Survey, John Stewart was the man who scooped one of the top prizes, a 140 mm JAM C Factory model from the awesome guys at Focus Bikes.
ENDURO Christmas Gift Guide for Bikers: 17 Gift Ideas for the Discerning Biker
It’s that time of year again, the time where we burn up our bank accounts in pursuit of gift buying perfection. Why is it that despite our best intentions, we always find ourselves scouring websites and stores for the perfect gift, with the deadline ever looming?
Interview: Bex Baraona – Mixing it up at the top
Being a privateer on the Enduro World Series circuit is undisputedly one of the toughest gigs out there. It’s an uphill struggle that usually takes new racers a season or two to learn the ropes, gain the fitness and handle the finances before even being able to think about getting some serious results. Bex Baraona, no doubt thought this would be the story for her too. From amateur racing at the various British race series in 2015, she exploded onto the 2106 EWS results table, only once outside the top 12, sitting at the end of a long season, in 7th place flanked by team riders. The biggest success for any privateer so far? We think so, we met up to ask her just how she did it.
Weapons of Choice – Riders and their bikes at the EWS in Finale Ligure
The Enduro World Series is undeniably pretty special. Seriously, what other sporting event brings together pure amateurs, ambitious semi-pros and full-blooded elite riders so close to one another? They’re riding the same stages, crushing the same roots, suffering the same conditions and chasing those same crucial time goals. But once the racing was over we grabbed the chance to talk bikes with some of the riders down in Finale Ligure and check out what had caught our eye on the trails.
