#RideItOut, castelli, rides, strava, Zwift -

During this difficult period, many of us are increasing our time spent training inside, either through choice or enforcement. In support of this challenging situation, Castelli is scheduling extra Zwift rides, together with an Instagram campaign, with the intent of showing solidarity whilst we ride it out, ‘together’. Taking place weekly every Tuesday at 19:25 (CET), ‘Ride It Out with Castelli’ rides are social in nature, on rolling courses, with the aim of getting riders together, supporting each other and having a chat along the way. We’re also giving away a little swag during the ride, with the Castelli Insider bib-shorts or jersey up for grabs. Ride pace: 2.6 – 2.8 w/kg on Flat sections 2.8 – 3.0 w/kg on Hills/Climbs Alongside Zwift rides, Castelli is also running a #RideItOut Instagram solidarity campaign, also with a chance of snagging some prizes. Simply post a video or photo story of you riding inside (or your pain-cave!), mention @CastelliCycling plus the #RideItOut hashtag. We’ll reshare a selection of stories on Castelli’s Instagram page and each week one lucky post will win a Castelli Insider jersey or bib short. Together, we can Ride It Out. #RideItOut #StayHome #IoRestoACasa #IoMiAllenoACasa

Perhaps putting volume of training aside, it’s a similar story for us non-competitive folk, too. The Autumn season paints our well-known local routes in a new, softer light, our bodies adapt to cooler temperatures and our minds race to the snug post-ride warmth that only an open fireplace can provide Nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees, Girona is the perfect location for these long training rides – nicknamed ‘the pros backyard’ – thanks to a selection of idilic routes ridden religiously by over 100 resident professionals. We asked Girona local man and CHPT3 ambassador, Ramon Lozano to head out and ride his favourite Autumn routes, sharing them with us as he went. This, his first and much-loved training ride, is famed for its traffic-free roads which makes for the calmest start possible to the cooler seasons. Riding south from our medieval home of Girona, Ramon winds steadily along quiet roads to ...
