Cameron Meyer of Australia, riding for the Castelli-equipped Team Garmin-Cervélo team, won the 2011 Santos Tour Down Under race on general classification by two seconds from countryman Matthew Goss (Team HTC-Highroad) while Britain’s Ben Swift (Team Sky) was third overall after winning the final stage.

You were expecting yet another sprint at the Santos Tour Down Under 2011? You were probably not the only one! This wasn’t however the case since the early breakaway managed to continue until the finish where Cameron Meyer (Garmin-Cervélo) won the stage and put himself in the race lead.

Garmin-Cervélo’s Jack Bobridge stormed his way to the green and gold of the Australia national champion jersey, winning the biggest race of his young career from a whittled-down break on a daring solo move.

South Australian Jack Bobridge put in an amazing performance to win the elite national road race in Buninyong on Sunday. The 21-year-old Garmin-Cervelo rider showed his class by soloing for 30km to take the coveted green and gold jersey, 37 seconds ahead of Matt Goss (HTC-Columbia) and Simon Gerrans (Team Sky). 

Today Slipstream Sports presented a sneak peek of the 2011 Team Garmin-Cervélo jersey. You’ll have to wait until January to see the rest of it, but let’s just say that Castelli will continue to make the best looking kit in the peloton, while the Castelli Speed Research Unit has been busy making sure it’s the fastest gear in the peloton. Argyle has never looked so good.
