In 2013 after the Enduro World Series dust had settled, worn racing lines were washed away by rain and wind and a quiet calm settled over Punta Ala. However, at 9am this morning, Punta Ala was again the host for the first round of an exciting new series, the European Enduro Series presented by XS Power Drink. Excited riders lined up on the start ramp to battle it out in the red dust and rock of the challenging trails of the Maremma Bandite Trails.

Issue #009, Review -

Since it was launched, Cube has supplied the Stereo in two wheel sizes: the 27.5” wheel model used by the Cube Action Team appeals to racers, where as the 29” version is mainly for trail riders. The Stereo 140 HPC PRO is one of two 29” bikes in our test and the only one with a carbon front triangle. The latter keeps the total weight just under 14kg.

So the Enduro World Series has finally started, stages have been run and times have been put down in the loose volcanic dirt. Looking at the first 3 stages, we can now get a good idea where everyone is sitting, where riders are strong and perhaps get our first indications of how the series may roll out.
