Team Tested: Mudguards Enduroguard & Mudhugger Review
Great plastic mould
As Summer tips its hat and starts its brief journey off to the other side of the world, over here in the UK we start to say goodbye to the light nights and dusty dry trails. The start of the dark season is upon us and with it comes mud, muck, crap and slop; whatever you want to call it, it’s a product of soil and rain and aint too welcome in our faces when hitting the local trails! So for those who don’t use them in the summer months this sparks off the time to think about mudguards.
Team Tested: Alpinestars Paragon Knee Protector Review
As the front wheel started to drift out mid-corner on the scorched loose marbles of the Nevada Desert, I knew I was going down! It was time to see how the new Alpinestars Paragon knee protectors would handle the sharp rocks that were rapidly approaching.

Team Tested: Avid X.0 Trail Brakes long-term Review
The X.0 Trail, Avids top model in the trail segment, are in use on a few bikes of our long-term test fleet. Our test team have collected many kilometers on trails all over Europe with this brake: Countless races, vacations, bikepark days and – of course – classic after work rides were the testing scenario and now it’s time for a conclusion.
Team Tested: Shimano XT Disc Brakes Review
If you’re looking for new brakes for your mountain bike, whether as an upgrade or just something different, Shimano XT brakes could be exactly what you need. One of the best “bangs for the buck” in mountain biking equipment today.
Long-Term Test: Propain Twoface Review
One thing is quite clear: The Propain Twoface probably has the worst fate of all in our ENDURO long-term test. Testrider Vinzenz works as a guide of an alpine crossing company and has crossed the alps with his bike for the seventh time so far. Whether there is sunshine, mud or snow, the propain is not treated softly. So far the bike has managed 70.000 m in altitude in only two months. A number, which is hard to complete in one season reach for an average biker. Time to take a deep breath and to look at how the Propian has done so far.
