Life and close calls in Squamish, Canada
I still remember watching my first New World Disorder film over sixteen years ago. Heck – I damn near wore the life out of that VHS tape! Now, as I chased white-knuckled down the technical trail, fully committed and hot on Andrew Shandro’s wheel, this was just as perfect as I had imagined it would be. We were in a land of giants, a frontier wilderness rich in trees and bears, and as we blazed down the trail our cries were lost in the vastness of the landscape. We were in Squamish, and shit was about to get real!
(R)Evolution – How have bikes changed over the past sixteen years?
If social media is your main source of information and you purely rely on internet forums for trail chat, then you’d be under the impression that all the new standards, tire sizes, geometries, & co. are a load of useless b*llocks. This set us thinking: imagine if bikes hadn’t been developed over the past few years? Imagine if engineers had decided enough was enough? Would we be living in a better biking world?

Crossing the “Enduro Line” – Racers, Cheats, and the Grey In-Between
We’ve all heard the term “enduro line”… hell, I’ve shouted it myself in jest a few times when I’ve messed up and sent it through the foliage. The “enduro line” is a euphemism that hides a much darker side of the sport: the shortcut or cheat line. Line choice is how we as riders express ourselves, but when those short, high-risk lines or tight turns grow into something more sinister, like cutting out huge sections of track, it’s time to start asking ourselves with whom does responsibility lie?
Norco Optic C7.2 Review
As the motherland of real mountain biking, Canada has a vast landscape with some of the sickest trails – ones that we’ve heard are best spent discovering on Norco’s Optic. Norco claim it’s a trail bike with cross-country pop and all-mountain adventure, but how will it fare away from its home turf?
