Engineering for performance – We visit clothing mavericks 7mesh in Squamish
7mesh is a young Canadian cycling clothing brand making waves across the Atlantic. Unreservedly high-end and high-quality, they are doing things a bit differently. While in Squamish we stopped in at their facility to meet the team and find out how they are making their mark.
Bike Check: ENDURO Mag’s Stuart Wilcox on his Nukeproof Mega 290
As we speak, high up in the Italian mountains the first Trans-Rezia All Mountain multi-day Enduro is well underway, and ENDURO magazine has a racer, Stuart Wilcox, in the mix collecting some very interesting power data. Stuart Wilcox is no stranger to the pointy end of racing after solid seasons with Cube and Radon where he collected top 30 EWS finishes and a top ten stage time. Now a member of our bike test team and representing on the international racing circuit we thought it was best to check out his Nukeproof Mega 290 race bike.
Time to Relax – the Ultimate Post-Ride Beverage Menu
Your hands might be burning and your disc brakes scorching, but once the bike is safely locked in the shed your only concern should be choosing the right recovery drink to ensure you get your mind and body get back on track. Here’s our run-through of the best, wildest, and tastiest post-ride drinks, a sure-fire way to round off a great day of riding in shaken, not stirred, martini style.
A Life on Air: At Home with Hannah Barnes
As I pull into an unmarked farm track in the middle of nowhere, I question if I’m in the right place. I check the directions on my phone for the third time – directions which are delightfully vague – but then from over a hedge I am greeted with a warm smile and cheery wave. “No way!” I shout. “You really do live in a log cabin!”
BikePark Wales, Redefining the UK Trail Centre
With mountain biking booming in the UK, over the last fifteen years trail centres have been sprouting up left, right, and centre, with varied success. Some burned bright like a firework then faded into overgrown singletrack memory whilst others have boomed, none more so than BikePark Wales, which with its differing approach has pioneered a new way of thinking which has revolutionised the concept of a UK Trail Centre.
