The world’s toughest downhill mountain bike race is a severe test of skill and nerve on the infamous Machynlleth course designed by Dan Atherton. Thirty of the world’s best and bravest riders seek to survive a challenging succession of huge jumps, boulder drops, technical puzzles, and unpredictable weather conditions. Red Bull Hardline is hard by name, hard in nature.

Sunday will be race day at Redbull Hardline 2022, the brutal DH race organized by the Athertons in their area. The riders are testing the track, which this year has two huge and very long jumps. Bernard Kerr was the guinea pig and it didn’t end well. The front tire literally exploded. Fortunately, he seems not to have hurt himself.
